A literary cookie jar...literally!

I eat a lot of oatmeal. I also tend to collect the empty oatmeal containers to store art supplies and to use as a potential craft supply. I finally decided to alter one of the many empty oatmeal containers I have collected and turn it into a cookie jar filled with cookies for a friend's birthday.

I modge podged torn pages from a book that I did not care for (I can't even remember the name of the said book) to cover the oatmeal container. I also made a hanging label using my favorite corrugated paper for the background.

I also covered the lid with the same brown paper that I love so much!

So what type of cookies were housed in this altered cookie jar you ask? These brownie cookies from My Baking Addiction. They are intense! I recommend it if you love dark chocolate. If you're more a fan of milk chocolate, I'd definitely substitute the dark, unsweetened baking chocolate with something less intense!

Thanks for stopping by and happy Saturday!
